Top Plays: Brock Wright

Notre Dame picked up their second commitment in the class of 2017 on Friday afternoon when Cypress (Texas) Cy-Fair tight end Brock Wright committed to the Irish. The 6-5, 238-pounder is the third commitment that visited campus for Notre Dame's Irish Invasion, joining 2016 commitments Jalen Elliott and Kevin Stepherson, who both committed June 19.
Below are a few top plays from Wright's sophomore highlights, showing why he could be the No. 1 tight end nationally in the entire 2017 class when Rivals ranks the positions.

1) Off a middle screen to the tight end, Wright picks up some yards after the catch, running over a defender in the process.
2) Wright blocks a defender to the ground, then secures the downfield catch, and the defense requires multiple tacklers to bring the tight end down.
3) Wright slips under the coverage, makes the catch, and runs over one defensive back before dragging the rest of the secondary towards the goalline.
4) Wright shows off his soft hands and speed here, sprinting away from a safety and cornerback for the touchdown.
5) Wright reaches the second-level and pushes a defender back making a block.
