Miles Jones, a three-star 2018 athlete out of Plantation (Fla.) American Heritage, will get his first look at Notre Dame this weekend.

Jones, the No. 33 ATH in the class of 2017, does not yet hold an offer from the Irish, but has been in contact with running backs coach Autry Denson in recent weeks, and is hopeful that an offer is on the way.

The three-star said he's looking forward to seeing what Notre Dame is all about.

"I'm really excited," Jones said. "I've been watching them for a long time and I've always been interested in them. It will be a good experience to get up there."

Jones said he is also happy he may finally be able to meet Denson in person.

"It's really exciting just talking to him, so meeting him in person would be really cool," Jones said. "Watching his highlights, he was a pretty good running back. It would be great to be taught by him and be coached by him."

Even though no offer has come yet, Jones said he's already high on the Irish.

"It's really high," Jones said of his interest in the Irish. "I like them a lot. Coach Denson seems like a real nice guy. I've heard a lot of good things about the program. I've known two people who have gone there and they only have good things to say."

During the visit Friday, Jones said he just wants to take it all in.

"I'm just looking forward to seeing the city," Jones said "Also the facilities, the campus, and just getting a feel for what Notre Dame is really about."

Currently, Jones holds offers from Georgia, Mississippi State, West Virginia, Wisconsin and a few others.

If an Irish offer were to come at some point, Jones said Notre Dame would immediately jump to the top of his list.

"That would be great," Jones said. "They would definitely be a top school I would be looking at. Without a doubt."
