They Said It
Rivals Mid-Atlantic recruiting analyst Adam Friedman: "He is a high-character kid who won't be a problem for Notre Dame in the classroom or off the field. When it comes to his play on the field, I don't think anybody in the country has a stronger arm than Brandon Wimbush.
"He can throw on a line and make all the throws, from sideline to sideline. He can throw from the far hash to the sideline or down the field. He has no problem throwing to receivers open down the field.
"The issue with him was always putting touch on the ball. He developed that tremendously from his sophomore to junior year, and then junior year to senior. He has shown the ability to put touch on the ball.
"When you look at the players in this recruiting class, there isn't a more important recruit than Wimbush. Everything will start with him offensively."
Prep Football Report's Tom Lemming: "Maybe the best player in the class. I watched his film at St. Peter's Prep and Paramus Catholic. Coaches had nothing but great praise for him as one of the best players to come out of New Jersey.
"He brought his game up to a different level as a senior, where he became a five-star player. He's definitely a five-star player now. He gives Notre Dame great depth at quarterback."
