They Said It
Rivals Midwest recruiting analyst Josh Helmholdt: "He brings a lot of the same positives to the field that Josh Barajas does. He's a very long and rangy kid, and at this point he's almost all arms and legs. I love that in linebackers. Not only does it allow them to cover space, but it also helps them with leverage when they try to take on blockers.
"He needs to bulk up his frame and put on the right weight. He doesn't have as wide of a frame as Barajas, and he has to make sure that the weight he puts on doesn't limit his athleticism, which is his strong suit."
Prep Football Report's Tom Lemming: "Has the potential to be a great player. He plays against the best teams in Indiana and dominates. He can make tackles from sideline to sideline and run a legit 4.6 - and he's as mean as you will find on the field.
"He's a free safety-looking linebacker, about 205, but has the frame to be about 230 in a couple of years. I think that's how he can turn into a first-round draft choice."
