They Said It
Rivals recruiting analyst Rob Cassidy: "I've seen him a bunch, and he's hit or miss. You can obviously see he has the skill set to be special player. He's athletic, big and a pretty decent blocker, but he tends to just disappear at times.
"I don't know if that's the fact of him just not being interested, because it's not a talent thing. I think he's disinterested at times. He had some injury concerns this year, but he does have the tools. When he's on, he's really a threat as a receiver."
"He wasn't on the field every down when they were running the football. That's not his forte. He came a long way from the first saw him as a sophomore to his senior year, but if he's going to be in ideal blocker in college, he has got a ways to go."
Prep Football Report's Tom Lemming: "The No. 1 tight in the country. I've watched him the past three years. He is the sort of tight end that looks like a wide receiver. He's gaining some weight.
"An instant impact player as a freshman, in my opinion. Great blocker, great hands and the kind of speed that can keep a defense honest. After he catches the ball over the middle, he can run away from linebackers for sure."
