Washington (DC) St. John's College High safety Mordecai McDaniel is a top Notre Dame target at his position.
The Fighting Irish coaching staff hosted the 6-foot-2, 185-pounder on campus over the weekend for their first official visit weekend of the 2020 class.
"The visit was overall good and a great experience," McDaniel told Blue & Gold Illustrated. "I got to see the campus and meet the team and see them practice and basically all in all saw what the school was about."
A highlight of McDaniel's Notre Dame visit was his time spent with the Irish coaching staff, especially safeties coach Terry Joseph.
"The coaching staff was really amazing, and they know what they talking about," McDaniel said. "I hung out with my position coach the most, and it was good. I feel like he is going to get me ready for the next level."
