Rivals100 TE Patrick Freiermuth Lands Notre Dame Offer
Notre Dame extended its second offer of the day Thursday night, this one going out to four-star tight end Patrick Freiermuth, a Penn State commit.
Freiermuth visited Notre Dame for the Blue-Gold Game last spring, but did not land an offer, and committed to Penn State on Aug. 16
The Irish are the 10th offer for Freiermuth, who recorded 25 catches for 527 yards and six touchdowns during his junior season at North Andover (Mass.) Brooks School.
He is ranked as the No. 3 tight end and the No. 91 overall player in the class.
Following his junior season, Freiermuth was named to USA Today's All-Massachusetts team.
The Massachusetts talent is the sixth tight end to be offered by Notre Dame in the class of 2016.
