Rivals100 SG Robby Carmody Is Irish

Notre Dame has added more firepower to its 2018 basketball class.

Mars (Pa.) Rivals100 shooting guard Robby Carmody announced his commitment to Notre Dame moments ago during an official visit to Notre Dame.

“I love Notre Dame because of everything they have to offer and the relationship I have with the coaches,” Carmody told Blue & Gold earlier this year. “[My interest level is] high because of everything they have to offer academically, athletically, and the network after school.

“I love Coach Mike Brey, he's a great guy. He's really honest with me about everything and he never beats around the bush.”

Notre Dame now sits with two top 100 commitments in the 2018 class as Carmody joins Washington (D.C.) Gonzaga point guard Prentiss Hubb, who committed to the Irish in May.

Carmody is ranked as the No. 98 player nationally. He recently took an official visit to Purdue and was scheduled to take on to Michigan later this month.

In eight games with Ohio Basketball Club on the adidas AAU circuit, Carmody averaged 19.6 points per game and five rebounds.
