It appears Notre Dame is losing another staff member.

Early Wednesday morning, Sports Illustrated reported that Irish associate head coach and receivers coach Mike Denbrock is “expected” to be the next offensive coordinator at Cincinnati.

Denbrock has been at Notre Dame during the entire Brian Kelly era, first as tight ends coach from 2010-11, receivers coach from 2012-13 and OC/WR coach in 2014.

For the past two seasons, he has handled the play-calling duties despite not having the offensive coordinator tag. Mike Sanford, who left this month to become head coach at Western Kentucky, was the official OC.

Cincinnati is now coached by Luke Fickell, a former Ohio State assistant.
