Sam Hartman made everything look easy in his first performance in a Notre Dame uniform in front of fans.
The graduate transfer quarterback from Wake Forest accounted for all three touchdowns in a 24-0 victory for the Gold team in Saturday's Blue-Gold Game in Notre Dame Stadium.
Hartman made such quick work with the Gold offense that he didn't play the entire first half. He completed 13 of his 16 passes (81.3%) for 189 yards and two touchdowns. He also rushed once for a one-yard touchdown.
Hartman led the Gold team into the end zone on three of his four drives. He threw a nine-yard touchdown pass to wide receiver Jayden Thomas to finish the first drive. His one-yard touchdown run ended the second drive.
After a punt halted Hartman's third drive, he bounced back with a 13-yard touchdown pass to Matt Salerno.
