Offer Roundup: Feb. 23

It’s been a busy week for Notre Dame on the recruiting trail.

After sending out five offers on Tuesday and landing a commitment from four-star Braden Lenzy on Wednesday, the staff sent out another six offers last night, predominantly on the West Coast.

Below is a quick rundown of each new player on Notre Dame’s board.

Patrick Fields, S, 6-1, 185, Tulsa (Okla.) Union

The three-star also holds offers from Arkansas, Minnesota, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, TCU, Texas and Baylor, among others.

Fields is the seventh safety to land a Notre Dame offer in the 2018 cycle. The Irish have one commit at the position in four-star Derrik Allen.

As it stands, the Tulsa athlete is the only player from Oklahoma in the class of 2018 with an Irish offer.

Kyler Gordon, CB, 5-10, 175, Everett (Wash.) Archbishop Murphy

Gordon, the No. 24 cornerback in the class of 2018, holds 10 total offers, including Arizona, California, Nebraska, Oregon, Stanford, TCU, UCLA, Utah and Washington.

The Everett (Wash.) Archbishop Murphy product is the No. 2 player in the state of Washington.

According to MaxPreps, Gordon hauled in 26 passes for 802 yards and 12 touchdowns during his junior year. On defense, the Washington standout recorded 31 tackles and had four interceptions in nine games.

Following his junior season, Gordon was named to the USA Today's All-Washington second team.

He is the 12th cornerback to be offered by Notre Dame in the 2018 cycle.

Jevon Holland, S, 6-1, 175, Oakland (Calif.) Bishop O’Dowd

Holland also holds offers from UCLA, Utah, Arizona, California, Boise State, Louisville and Oregon State, among others.

He recently told Rivals analyst Adam Gorney that UCLA had emerged as his favorite following a recent visit, and Arizona, California, Utah and Boise State were high up as well.

Holland finished his junior season with 50 tackles on defense, and 1,084 all-purpose yards and 13 touchdowns on offense. According to Hudl, Holland runs a 4.5 40-yard dash.

Lawrence Keys, WR, 5-11, 160, New Orleans McDonogh 35

Keys is Rivals’ No. 16 player in Louisiana and the No. 70 wide receiver in the class of 2018.

The Louisiana talent currently holds offers from more than 20 schools, including Arizona State, Arkansas, Houston, Miami (Fla.), Mississippi State, Nebraska, Oklahoma, TCU and Texas A&M.

Keys told BlueandGold.com that he has been in communication with offensive coordinator Chip Long and wide receivers coach DelVaughn Alexander in recent weeks.

“We’ve just been introducing ourselves and getting to know each other more,” Keys said of his talks with the coaching staff. “We’re building a relationship, and they were just letting me know about Notre Dame.”

Joseph Ossai, DE, 6-4, 210, Conroe (Texas) Oak Ridge

Ossai also holds offers from Texas, Oklahoma, Texas A&M, Nebraska, Northwestern, Arkansas and Baylor, among others.

Just hours after landing his offer from Notre Dame, Ossai landed an offer from Alabama.

Ossai is ranked as the No. 53 player in Texas and the No. 14 weakside defensive end in the country by Rivals. He finished his junior season with 46 tackles, 10 tackles for loss and 8.5 sacks.

Devon Williams, ATH, 6-4, 196, Lancaster (Calif.) Antelope Valley

As a junior, Williams threw for 1,150 yards and 11 touchdowns, while adding 397 yards and three touchdowns on the ground. He also recorded 55 tackles and five interceptions.
