Notre Dame WR Target Braden Lenzy Names Finalists, Sets Commitment Date
The recruitment of Portland (Ore.) Tigard four-star wide receiver Braden Lenzy has been quite a ride.
In February, the Oregon talent spurned Pac-12 programs for Notre Dame following an unofficial visit to South Bend for Junior Day.
Lenzy took a quiet visit to Oregon for the Ducks spring game, and flipped to the Ducks on June 14, amid concerns that his track career would be in jeopardy should he ultimately attend Notre Dame.
However, following the departure of Oregon head coach Willie Taggart for Florida State, Lenzy backed off his pledge to the Ducks and opened things back up.
We will soon know where Lenzy will ultimately end up playing. The four-star Tweeted Thursday night that Notre Dame, Oregon and UCLA are his three finalists and he will be announcing his commitment on Dec. 22, the final day of the early signing period.
The announcement will be made at 3:00 p.m. pacific time, and Lenzy will sign his National Letter of Intent to the school of his choosing that day.
