Notre Dame 'Would Almost Be A Dream Offer' For 2018 OL Wyatt Blake

Notre Dame is held in very high regard by Crystal Lake (Ill.) Central 2018 offensive guard Wyatt Blake.

The 6-foot-4, 270-pound three-star doesn’t hold an offer from Notre Dame, but has been to South Bend three times in the past year participating in the Lineman Challenge camp held in June, the Blue-Gold game this spring and the Navy game last fall.

“I like them a lot,” Blake said. “They would almost be a dream offer. Just the pedigree of it and the way it’s run. Also, the degree.”

“I saw the way they treat their players and the coaching staff is straight with you and doesn’t blow any smoke.”

Blake said an offer wouldn’t change his recruitment too much and he would consider all possibilities in his recruitment. The schools he likes who have offered are Northwestern, Missouri, Indiana and Virginia. He also likes the Irish and Ohio State, who also haven’t offered.

What about the Irish puts Blake’s interest at a high level?

“The culture,” Blake said. “My family is very interested in Notre Dame and just the whole Notre Dame feel.”

Blake is planning on taking only two game day visits this fall. He is unsure of who and what games he will be at. This summer, besides Notre Dame, Blake made trips to Northwestern, Illinois and Indiana.
