Notre Dame Stands High In The Recruitment Of Top 2023 LB Ta’Mere Robinson

Notre Dame received visits from a couple of top linebacker targets from Pittsburgh on Thursday.

Central Catholic class of 2024 standout Anthony Speca and Brashear class of 2023 four-star prospect Ta’Mere Robinson made the trip to South Bend, Ind. to get an in-depth look at Notre Dame.

Notre Dame offered Robinson on March 31, and defensive coordinator Marcus Freeman and Co. have been in consistent contact with the 6-3, 205-pounder. This week’s visit was another opportunity for the staff to show Robinson how much of a priority he is, and by all indications, Robinson loved Notre Dame.

Top-100 class of 2023 recruit Ta'Mere Robinson had an enjoyable experience at Notre Dame on Thursday.

“The visit was great,” Robinson told BlueandGold.com following his visit. “The coaches showed major love, and we saw everything on campus from the football facilities to halls, to lakes – literally everything. I loved everything.”

Robinson joked that his favorite part of the visit was the photoshoot before giving his real answer.

“My favorite part was the campus tour,” said Robinson, who Rivals ranks as the No. 76 player in America. “I learned a lot about Notre Dame that I would've never known. I loved the campus because it was small, and the facilities were all nice.”

“I also got to ride around in the golf cart with Coach [Chad] Bowden, who is the funniest guy you'll ever meet.”

Robinson also spent plenty of time with Freeman and defensive analyst Nick Lezynski. He chatted with the Irish’s leader as well.

“He told me that I wouldn't have an offer and I wouldn't be there [on a visit] if he didn't want me,” Robinson said of his conversation with Brian Kelly. “He also said I was a hell of a player, and he's looking forward to watching me play this season.”

Michigan, Penn State, Pittsburgh, Tennessee and West Virginia are among Robinson’s other offers.

“Definitely high in my recruitment,” Robinson said when asked where Notre Dame stands for him. “I loved it there and it seems like a place for me. They were saying I’d be a perfect fit for their defense and that I'd be a top player if I came there.”
