NEWS AND NOTES

• Notre Dame got some bad news this week when four-star Reno (Nev.) Damonte Ranch 2019 quarterback Cade McNamara backed off his pledge to the Irish. Going forward, we do not expect the Irish to make an effort to get McNamara back in the class. They will move on to other targets.

• Notre Dame three top lists for prospects this week. The Irish are in the top nine for three-star cornerback Marcus Banks, the top 10 for four-star receiver Garrett Wilson and the top 10 for four-star defensive end Nathan Pickering.
