Notre Dame Ranked No. 8 In Latest College Football Playoff Rankings

Notre Dame checked in at No. 8 in the third release of the College Football Playoff rankings following its 41-8 loss to Miami.

Miami replaced Notre Dame as the No. 3 ranked team.

The top four currently consists of No. 1 Alabama (10-0), No. 2 Clemson (9-1), No. 3 Miami (9-0) and No. 4 Oklahoma (9-1). No. 5 Wisconsin (10-0), No. 6 Auburn (8-2) and No. 7 Georgia (9-1) all rank ahead of the Irish.

Notre Dame's two losses came to the No. 3 and No. 7 opponents. The Fighting Irish own wins over No. 11 USC (49-14), No. 17 Michigan State (38-18) and No. 19 NC State (35-14).

Notre Dame will finish the season against Stanford (7-3), the team currently ranked No. 23.
