Per Rivals national analyst Corey Evans, Notre Dame has extended an offer to Charlotte Providence Day four-star junior point guard Devon Dotson.
The 6-foot-1, 170-pounder is ranked No. 37 overall in the class and holds offers from the likes of Arizona, Florida, Kansas, North Carolina, NC State, Villanova and many others.
Dotson is the No. 6 scorer on the Under Armour Association through eight games averaging 18.6 points per game while averaging 3.6 assists per game.
During UAA II in Indianapolis this past weekend, Dotson helped lead his team to a 3-1 record. Evans shared his thoughts on Dotson following the event.
"Dotson had one of the better halves of basketball that we saw all spring long," Evans said. "His burst and ability to get to the basket was on total display and while he tailed off towards the end of his morning session, the top-40 guard was the catalyst for his squad leaving Indy with a 3-1 record."
The junior told reporters on Saturday of the UAA II that his recruitment is still open giving the Irish as chance to make a push.
“I don’t have any visits scheduled right now," Dotson said in the interview to Evans. "I am going to talk to my parents about where I am going to go after this spring.
“I might cut it down after the spring term, but I just have to see the new interest that I get, but I do want to cut it down soon.”
Notre Dame will have some work to do with Dotson coming in a little later compared to the other programs on his offer list.
