With Jayson Ademilola and Justin Ademilola out of Jersey City (N.J.) St. Peter’s Prep already committed, the Notre Dame staff is already off to a good start in terms of bringing in a talented defensive line group in 2018.

Adding an another tackle to pair with Jayson Ademilola is something the staff hopes to do this cycle and they expanded the board this afternoon by offering Covington (Ga.) Netwon three-star Darnell Jefferies.

The 6-4, 271-pound Jefferies already holds a very good offer list, which includes Alabama, Auburn, Georgia, Louisville, Virginia Tech, Tennessee, West Virginia and Georgia Tech, among others.

Jefferies is currently ranked as the No. 54 player in the Peach State and the No. 45 defensive tackle in the class of 2018.

As a junior, Jefferies recorded 76 tackles, five stops for loss and two sacks, according to MaxPreps. He has taken visits to Alabama, Georgia and Georgia Tech so far in 2017.
