Per his Twitter, Notre Dame has offered 2018 defensive end Tobe Umerah of Macon (Ga.) Stratford Academy.

The 6-4, 226-pounder holds offers from Alabama, Stanford, Auburn, Penn State, Wisconsin, Tennessee, Ole Miss and others. He is ranked as the No. 21 weakside defensive end in the class and No. 33 player in Georgia.

Umerah was named to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution's Class A-Private All-State team for his efforts during the 2016 season. He also collected Region 7-A Defensive Player of the Year.

Umerah competed at the U.S. Army All-American Bowl National Combine earlier this year and was named the Defensive MVP at the event.

Notre Dame continues to add pass rushers to its roster and the 2018 class to complement current defensive line commits Jayson Ademilola and Justin Ademilola of Jersey City (N.J.) St. Peter's Prep. Offering Umerah adds another potential option to the target board.

Stay tuned to Blue & Gold for additional updates on Umerah and his recruitment with the Irish.
