Notre Dame extended another new 2017 offer Wednesday morning.

Terell Bailey, a four-star cornerback out of Marrero (La.) John Ehret and University of Tenneseee commit, announced via Twitter that the Irish have offered him a scholarship.

Bailey, the No. 26 cornerback in the class of 2017 and No. 11 player in the state of Louisiana, committed to the Vols on Sept. 15 over offers from Ole Miss, Oregon, Texas A&M and several others.

This is the third offer in as many days by Notre Dame to defensive backs committed elsewhere. On Monday, the Irish offered three-star Clear Creek (Texas) League City cornerback Noah Daniels (TCU commit) and on Tuesday, offered three-star Fort Smith (Ark.) Northside cornerback Tre Norwood (Louisville commit).

With the recent de-commitment of four-star Mansfield (Texas) High cornerback Paulson Adebo and the parting of ways with four-star La Mirada (Calif.) High cornerback Elijah Hicks, Notre Dame is currently without a cornerback commit in the 2017 class.

Bailey tells Blue & Gold he will take an official visit to Notre Dame Jan. 27.
