Notre Dame Offers Amon-Ra St. Brown
MACOMB, Mich. — Notre Dame has offered Anaheim (Calif.) Servite wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown.
St. Brown, who is the brother of 2015 Notre Dame wide receiver signee Equanimeous St. Brown, joins wide receiver Osiris St. Brown as the third sibling in the family to earn an offer from the Irish.
"It's a dream come true and kind of just surreal. You never expect a school to offer all there. I was just shocked when I talked to [head coach] Brian Kelly and he said that he had the offer," Amon's father, John Brown, said.
Kelly was at the Sound Mind Sound Body camp outside of Detroit on Friday with a number of different Irish assistant coaches. The staff evaluated the 2018 prospect in person before deciding to pull the trigger and offer him a scholarship.
"Coach Kelly said it's a family thing now," John Brown said.
The bid comes as the fourth in the recruiting process for the 5-10, 160-pound wideout. He also holds offers from Boise State, Utah and Washington. Equanimeous, who was ranked as the No. 144 overall prospect in the country, will enroll at Notre Dame next week. Osiris, who has been named to the initial Rivals100 for the class of 2016, visited South Bend back in April.
