Running back is a key position for Notre Dame in the 2019 class with recent events at the position and only four scholarship players heading into spring prace.

The Irish staff will look at very likely signing two this cycle to replenish the depth chart and add instant impact caliber players.

A new name has been added to the board this evening.

Per his Twitter, Notre Dame has extended an offer to Menomonee (Wisc.) Menomonee Falls running back and Wisconsin commit Julius Davis.

The 5-11, 190-pounder committed to Wisconsin this past November and also holds offers from LSU, USC and Buffalo.

Davis ranks as the No. 32 running back in the 2019 class and is the ninth running back in the class to add an offer from the Irish.

Given Davis' status as a commitment to the in-state program, Notre Dame will have to make an impression on the three-star prospect to at least secure a visit.
