Even with the start of the season just days away, Notre Dame's staff is still putting in work on the recruiting trail evaluating potential targets.

The Irish found one this evening in the 2019 class.

Per his Twitter, Notre Dame has extended an offer to Dacula (Ga.) High 2019 defensive back Jalen Perry.

The 6-1, 175-pounder holds offers from Alabama, Auburn, Georgia, NC State, Ohio State, Oklahoma, Stanford, South Carolina and Tennessee, among others.

Perry ranks as the No. 11 cornerback and No. 137 player nationally. Rivals analyst Chad Simmons describes Perry as a "smooth athlete" that could play cornerback or safety at the next level. Simmons also mentioned Perry doesn't have any real favorites at the moment in his recruitment.

According to MaxPreps, Perry recorded 40 tackles, five interceptions and 11 passes defended as a sophomore.

Perry is the fourth defensive back from Georgia to land an offer in the 2019 class joining Powder Spring (Ga.) Hillgrove cornerback Jaylen McCollough, Loganville (Ga.) Grayson cornerback Kenyatta Watson and Suwanee (Ga.) North Gwinnett cornerback DJ Turner.
