Notre Dame Offers 2019 DE Cade Stover

Notre Dame continues to evaluate top talent in the 2019 class and offered one of the top players in the Midwest in the rising junior class yesterday — Lexington (Ohio) 2019 defensive Cade Stover.

The 6-5, 220-pounder holds offers from Ohio State, Oklahoma, Penn State, Virginia Tech and Kentucky, among others.

He told the Ohio State site (BuckeyeGrove.com) back in mid-April that the Buckeyes were his leader. Stover visited Notre Dame for the Stanford game last fall.

Stover is currently listed at defensive end, but he plays multiple positions in high school including linebacker, safety and wide receiver. But, his size and frame could push him to the defensive line if his body continues to grow.

Ohio State, according to BuckeyeGrove recruiting analyst March Givler, is looking at Stover for linebacker with the caveat that he could move to end if his body develops.

Stay tuned to Blue & Gold for more information on Stover, his interest in the Irish and what position the staff likes him at.
