Notre Dame Offers 2018 Georgia CB

Notre Dame already has signatures from two 2018 cornerbacks in Fort Myers (Fla.) North Fort Myers product Joseph Wilkins Jr. and Milpitas (Calif.) High standout TaRiq Bracy.

Bradenton (Fla.) IMG Academy defensive back signee Houston Griffith will also get a look at cornerback, but projects to be a safety for the Irish. Today, the Irish coaching staff expanded the board at cornerback.

Per his Twitter, Notre Dame has extended an offer to Lawrenceville (Ga.) Archer cornerback Taiyon Palmer.

The 5-11, 176-pounder was committed to Duke for a few months this past fall, but opened up his recruitment in late November. He also holds offers from Louisville, Minnesota, Nebraska, North Carolina State, Northwestern, Vanderbilt, Virginia and Virginia Tech, among others.

According to Rivals Southeast analyst Chad Simmons, Palmer is scheduled to visit Nebraska and North Carolina State the next two weekends.

Getting the nation’s No. 50 cornerback on campus is the next step for the Irish with just a few weeks remaining before National Signing Day Feb. 7. Washington (D.C.) H.D. Woodson cornerback Noah Boykin and Anaheim (Calif.) Servite product Julius Irvin are also targets on the Irish defensive back board.
