Notre Dame Offers 2017 Three-Star ATH Demetrius Douglas
The Irish staff sent out another offer to a senior prospect today with Portland (Ore.) Jesuit three-star athlete Demetrius Douglas being the recipient.
Douglas is currently committed to Oregon and played both ways this past season during his senior campaign. So, it is currently unclear what side of the ball Douglas is being recruited for.
Either way, the Irish have holes to fill in its class at wide receiver and defensive back and offering Douglas give the staff another potential target. Douglas is the fifth 2017 prospect, who is committed elsewhere, to receive an offer following League City (Texas) Clear Creek three-star TCU cornerback commit Noah Daniels (Monday), Shawnee Mission (Kansas) Bishop Miege three-star wide receiver and Missouri commit Jafar Armstrong (Tuesday), Fort Smith (Ark.) Northside three-star Louisville commit Tre Norwood (Tuesday) and Marrero (La.) John Ehret four-star Tennessee cornerback commit Terrell Bailey.
Douglas has been committed to Oregon since July. Blue & Gold will have more on Douglas and his interest in the Irish.
As a senior, Douglas recorded 38 receptions for 884 yards and 10 touchdowns on offense and had five interceptions, seven pass breakups and 17 total tackles.
