While Notre Dame started its 2017 campaign on Saturday, Irish commits and top targets continued their seasons over the weekend.

Below you will find a recap of how each commit and top target performed in their respective games.

IRISH COMMITS

Class of 2018

• DT Jayson Ademilola — Jersey City (N.J.) St. Peter’s Prep

Last Week: Was part of a defense that allowed just three total yards in a season-opening 48-0 win over Union City (N.J.) High (0-1).

Up Next: St. Peter’s Prep (1-0) will face Philadelphia St. Joseph’s Prep (1-0) at Widener University in Chester, Pa.

• DE Justin Ademilola — Jersey City (N.J.) St. Peter’s Prep

Last Week: Was part of a defense that allowed just three total yards in a season-opening 48-0 win over Union City (N.J.) High (0-1).

Up Next: St. Peter’s Prep (1-0) will face Philadelphia St. Joseph’s Prep (1-0) at Widener University in Chester, Pa.

• S Derrik Allen — Marietta (Ga.) Lassiter

Last Week: Recorded 10-plus tackles, a touchdown reception and the game-clinching interception in a 38-35 win over Marietta (Ga.) Kell (0-2).

Up Next: Lassiter (3-0) will host Marietta (Ga.) High Sept. 15.

• WR Kevin Austin — Coconut Creek (Fla.) North Broward Prep

Last Week: Caught five passes for 123 yards and a touchdown in a 31-28 win over Palm Beach Gardens (Fla.) The Benjamin School (1-1).

Up Next: North Broward Prep (2-0) will play at Miami (Fla.) Gulliver Prep.

• LB Matthew Bauer — Erie (Pa.) Cathedral Prep

Last Week: Was part of a defense that yielded just 87 total yards, according to the school’s Twitter account, in a 38-0 win over Erie (Pa.) High (1-1).

Up Next: Cathedral Prep (2-0) will play at Erie (Pa.) McDowell (1-1).

• OT John Dirksen — Maria Stein (Ohio) Marion Local

Last Week: Anchored an offensive line that helped Marion Local to a 41-0 win over Hamler (Ohio) Patrick Henry (0-2).

Up Next: Marion Local (2-0) will play at Coldwater (Ohio) High (1-1).

• DT Ja’Mion Franklin — Ridgely (Md.) North Caroline

Last Week: Notched a couple tackles for loss, according to Franklin, in a 44-0 season-opening win over Salisbury (Md.) Wicomico (0-1).

Up Next: North Caroline (1-0) will play at Berlin (Md.) Decatur (1-0).

• WR Micah Jones — Gurnee (Ill.) Warren Township

Last Week: Hauled in six receptions for 47 yards in a 7-3 victory over Winnetka (Ill.) New Trier (1-1).

Up Next: Warren Township (1-1) will host Libertyville (Ill.) High (1-1).

• QB Phil Jurkovec — Gibsonia (Pa.) Pine-Richland

Last Week: Continued his hot start in a 53-29 win over Pittsburgh Mt. Lebanon (1-1), throwing for 439 yards and three touchdowns while also rushing for 61 yards and three scores … Has accounted 12 total touchdowns in two games.

Up Next: Pine-Richland (2-0) will play at Harmony (Pa.) Seneca Valley (0-1).

• LB Jack Lamb — Temecula (Calif.) Great Oak

Last Week: Great Oak defeated Riverside (Calif.) King (0-1) 19-0 … Lamb is out for six weeks due to a knee injury.

Up Next: Great Oak (1-1) will play at Phellan (Calif.) Serrano Sept. 15.

• OT Cole Mabry — Brentwood (Tenn.) High

Last Week: Posted a 38-o victory over Dickson (Tenn.) County (0-2).

Up Next: Brentwood (3-0) will play at Clarksville (Tenn.) West Creek (2-1).

• LB Ovie Oghoufo — Farmington Hills (Mich.) Harrison

Last Week: Notched five tackles, including two for loss, and two receptions for 33 yards in a 30-3 win over Troy (Mich.) High (1-1).

Up Next: Harrison (1-1) will host Rochester Hills (Mich.) Stoney Creek (1-1).

• ROV Shayne Simon — Jersey City (N.J.) St. Peter’s Prep

Last Week: Recorded a pick-six and was part of a defense that allowed just three total yards in a 48-0 win over Union City (N.J.) High (0-1) … Also had three catches for 77 yards on offense.

Up Next: St. Peter’s Prep (1-0) will face Philadelphia St. Joseph’s Prep (1-0) at Widener University in Chester, Pa.

• RB Jahmir Smith — Sanford (N.C.) Lee County

Last Week: Scored two touchdowns and a two-point conversion in a 39-0 win over Raleigh (N.C.) Wakefield (0-3) … Lee County has not allowed a point all season, outscoring opponents 119-0.

Up Next: Lee County (3-0) will play at Raeford (N.C.) Hoke County (0-2).

• RB Markese Stepp — Indianapolis Cathedral

Last Week: Rushed for 83 yards and a touchdown on 13 carries in a 25-20 road loss to Pickerington Central (Ohio) High (2-0).

Up Next: Cathedral (0-3) will face Indianapolis Bishop Chatard (1-2) at the University of Indianapolis.

• TE George Takacs — Naples (Fla.) Gulf Coast

Last Week: Caught three passes for 53 yards in a 46-6 win over Hialeah (Fla.) Hialeah Gardens (1-1)

Up Next: Gulf Coast (2-0) will host Miami Monsignor Place (1-0)


Class of 2019

• DT Jacob Lacey — Bowling Green (Ky.) South Warren

Last Week: Registered six or seven tackles, three for loss and sack, according to his father, in a 36-7 win over Franklin (Ky.) Franklin-Simpson (1-2).

Up Next: South Warren (3-0) will host Cecilia (Ky.) Central Hardin (2-1).

• QB Cade McNamara — Reno (Nev.) Damonte Ranch

Last Week: McNamara complete 12 of 32 passes with two touchdowns and two interceptions in a 27-26 win at Fresno (Calif.) Edison (0-2).

Up Next: Damonte Ranch (2-0) will host Reno (Nev.) Hug (0-2).

TOP IRISH TARGETS

• DE Thomas Booker — Baltimore Gilman

Last Week: Gilman fell 23-10 to Olney (Md.) Good Counsel (1-0).

• CB Tariq Bracy — Milpitas (Calif.) High

Last Week: Did not play.

• CB Donte Burton — Loganville (Ga.) High

Last Week: Intercepted a pass in a 24-17 loss to Cumming (Ga.) North Forsyth (2-1).

• S Julius Irvin — Anaheim (Calif.) Servite

Last Week: Recorded five tackles and an interception in 38-28 win over American Fork (Utah) High (1-2).

Up Next: Servite (2-0) will travel to Eastvale (Calif.) Roosevelt (1-0).

• WR Lawrence Keys — New Orleans McDonogh

Last Week: McDonogh fell 6-0 to New Orleans St. Augustine (1-1).

Up Next: McDonogh (1-1) will host Marerro (La.) L.W. Higgins (0-1).

• S D’Angelo McKenzie — San Jose (Calif.) Valley Christian

Last Week: Made two tackles in a 48-7 win over Santa Clara (Calif) Wilcox (0-2).

Up Next: Valley Christian (1-1) will host Chico (Calif) Pleasant Valley (1-1).

• OT Chris Murray — Santa Ana (Calif.) Mater Dei.

Last Week: Mater Dei won 35-21 over Las Vegas Bishop Gorman (1-1) in a matchup of two of the top five teams nationally, according to USA Today … The win snapped Bishop Gorman’s 55-game winning streak.

Up Next: Mater Dei (2-0) will host La Mirada (Calif.) High (0-2).

• OT Nick Petit-Frere — Tampa Berkeley Prep

Last Week: Part of an offensive line that paved the way for 268 rushing yards in a 35-0 win over Auburndale (Fla.) Kindgom Prep (0-2).

Up Next: Berkeley Prep will play at Sarasota (Fla.) Cardinal Mooney (2-0).

• WR Geordon Porter — Etiwanda (Calif.) High

Last Week: Hauled in seven passes for 256 yards and four touchdowns in a 59-55 loss to Redlands (Calif.) East Valley (1-0).

Up Next: Etiwanda will host Corona (Calif) Centennial (1-1).

• OG Jamaree Salyer — Atlanta Pace Academy

Last Week: Pace fell 37-3 to Atlanta Hapeville Charter (2-1).

• OG Sam Taimani — Salt Lake City East

Last Week: East picked up a 35-14 over Saguaro (Ariz.) High (1-2).

Will miss the remainder of the 2017 season with an injury.

• CB Joe Wilkins Jr. — North Fort Myers (Fla.) High
