Notre Dame Beats Boston College, 82-66

Senior wing V.J. Beachem scored 22 points while junior forward Bonzie Colson had 18 points and 11 rebounds to lead Notre Dame past Boston College 82-66 on Senior Night at Purcell Pavilion.

The sold-out crowd in attendance for the final home game for Beachem and senior guard Steve Vasturia watched while the Irish closed the first half on 17-2 run and never looked back.

The Irish, who led by as many as 20, shot 47.1 percent from the field and 33.3 percent (9 of 27) from three-point range.

Notre Dame improve to 23-7 overall and 12-5 in the Atlantic Coast Conference.

Colson tallied his ACC-leading 18th double-double against the Eagles. It’s also the 22nd of his career and 11th in ACC play

The Irish have one regular-season game remaining — Saturday at Louisville. That game is set to tip-off at 2 p.m. and will be broadcast on CBS.
