The high school basketball season has been underway for the past several weeks, and Notre Dame’s signees have been putting together strong campaigns in their last go-around at the prep level.

With Washington (D.C.) Gonzaga point guard Prentiss Hubb rehabbing an ACL injury, four of the team’s five signees are in action this season.

Blue & Gold Illustrated takes a look at how each signee is performing so far during the 2017-18 season.

The Rivals100 prospect is arguably performing at the highest level of the four signees to date.

Mars (Pa.) High sits at 8-2 this season and Carmody is leading the way for his team, averaging just more than 33 points and double-digit rebounds per contest. Carmody has scored 40-plus points in three games this season.

Last season, Mars advanced to the Class 5A Elite Eight and aims to make a title run this year with Carmody leading the way. He averaged 26.2 points and 12.0 rebounds per game as a junior.

Carmody entered the season already etched as the program’s all-time leading scorer.

Doherty was the last player of the five-man class to ink with the Irish, doing so just before the conclusion of the early signing period.

Through seven games this season, Marlborough (Mass.) High sits at 6-2 behind Doherty’s team-leading 17.4 points per game.

The three-star prospect posted a season-high 29 points in the team’s opener and has scored 20-plus points on three other occasions.

Doherty averaged 16.0 points per game as a junior last season.

Upper Arlington (Ohio) High sits at 10-1 early in the season thanks to Goodwin’s strong start. He has tallied 23.8 points per game to lead the team, per 270hoops.com.

Goodwin’s season high is 40 points, and he added 32 points on another occasion. The senior recently made his first appearance in the Rivals100 checking in at No. 100.

During his junior season last year, Goodwin put up 25.5 points and 10.2 rebounds per game. He is already the program’s all-time leading scorer and rebounder.

Like Goodwin, Laszewski has been a major part of his team’s early success. Northfield (Mass.) Mount Hermon sits at 13-1 this season behind his 17.7 points and 4.9 rebounds per contest, according to MaxPreps.

The Rivals100 prospect’s game log includes two 30-point games and five other performances with at least 20 points. His best game is a 36-point, 10-rebound output last month.

During his recruitment, Laszewski was known as a sharpshooter, and so far this season he is shooting 38.7 percent behind the arc (48 of 124). He remains the highest rated player in the Irish five-man class after the latest rankings update.
