The high school basketball season has been underway for the past several weeks, and Notre Dame’s signees have been putting together strong campaigns in their last go-around at the prep level.

With Washington (D.C.) Gonzaga point guard Prentiss Hubb rehabbing an ACL injury, four of the team’s five signees are in action this season.

Blue & Gold Illustrated takes a look at how each signee is performing so far during the 2017-18 season.

Mars (Pa.) High (9-2) has played just one game since the Jan. 11 update, but Carmody led his team to an 85-60 win over Allison Park (Pa.) Hampton scoring 38 points in the victory.

For the season, Carmody is averaging 34.1 points per game through 11 games. Per stats via the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, Carmody ranked second for individual scorers in the WPIAL and Pittsburgh area teams as of Jan. 14 right behind Uniontown (Pa.) Laurel Highlands senior Bryce Laskey.

Laskey, who will attend St. Francis, sat at 34.2 points per game heading into this week, but scored 28 in his team’s one contest so far which lowered him down to 33.6 points per game (12 games), which allowed Carmody to take the lead for now at 34.1 points.

Doherty was the last player of the five-man class to ink with the Irish, doing so just before the conclusion of the early signing period.

Through seven games this season, Marlborough (Mass.) High sits at 8-2 behind Doherty’s team-leading 18.0 points per game.

Doherty has scored 23 points and 17 points respectively in his last two contests since last week’s update. The three-star also joined the 1,000-point club in his last game. Doherty has now scored 20 points in four games this season.

Doherty averaged 16.0 points per game as a junior last season.

Goodwin’s team has not played since the Jan. 11 update, but Upper Arlington returns to the court tonight.

Upper Arlington (Ohio) High sits at 10-1 early in the season thanks to Goodwin’s strong start. He has tallied 23.8 points per game to lead the team, per 270hoops.com.

Goodwin’s season high is 40 points, and he added 32 points on another occasion. The senior recently made his first appearance in the Rivals100 checking in at No. 100.

During his junior season last year, Goodwin put up 25.5 points and 10.2 rebounds per game. He is already the program’s all-time leading scorer and rebounder.

Laszewski has been a major part of his team’s early success. Northfield (Mass.) Mount Hermon sits at 14-2 this season behind his 17.8 points, 5.0 rebounds and 2.1 assists per contest, according to MaxPreps.

The sharpshooting Laszewski put up 17 points and 19 points his last two outings since the Jan. 11 update.

For the season, Laszewski is shooting 49 percent from the floor (99-of-202) and 38 percent (55-of-143) behind the arc.
