Over the weekend, Notre Dame hosted three-star 2020 running back Kyle Edwards of Destrehan (La.) High.
A few days after the visit, Edwards got a call he’s been hoping for for a long time, letting him know he finally had an offer from the Irish.
The Louisiana talent was ecstatic that the offer was finally on the table.
“It was very exciting,” Edwards said. “I’ve been waiting a long time for this one, so to finally have an offer from Notre Dame is crazy.”
As for the visit, the Irish definitely caught Edwards’ attention.
“The trip was really fun, it was amazing,” Edwards said. “I loved the coaches, I loved the buildings, the facilities and everything.”
Edwards added that the campus tour was the highlight of the weekend.
“I loved the buildings,” Edwards said. “Getting to actually see the campus, I just loved everything.”
During the visit, Edwards spent the most time with running backs coach Lance Taylor and safeties coach Terry Joseph.
