Notre Dame signed just eight offensive players in the 2019 class, but that was coming off an impressive 14-player haul in the 2018 class. The two-year haul has put Notre Dame in position to focus on bringing in impact talent in the 2020 class.

The Notre Dame offensive staff has been actively pursuing the 2020 class for months, an advantage of completing the 2019 class back in September.

Here is a look at the primary needs for the 2020 offensive class:

QUARTERBACK

Projected Take: 1
2020 Commits: Drew Pyne

Overview: Notre Dame offered just one quarterback in the 2020 class, and that was New Canaan (Conn.) High star Drew Pyne. After he camped at Notre Dame two summers ago, offensive coordinator Chip Long knew exactly who he wanted in the 2020 class. It took some time, but Pyne ultimately pledged to the Irish staff back in April.
