Nothing But Great Thoughts About Notre Dame For 2018 Athlete Terez Traynor

Several prospects from the Louisville, Kentucky area were on-hand Saturday taking unofficial visits to South Bend for Notre Dame’s 38-35 loss to the Duke Blue Devils.

Doss High School 2018 three-star athlete Terez Traynor described his first trip to Notre Dame as “amazing.”

“Nothing but great thoughts,” Traynor said. “I've talked with people on campus and they say they can't explain how special it is and I was there for one day and I'm on the same page with them.

“The atmosphere was crazy. I haven't seen anything like that. When Notre Dame scores a touchdown the students do pushups in the air. The kicker’s name is Yoon and it was funny when the students were saying his name. The Tour around campus was great. I like it there…that place is special to me.”

The 6-foot-3, 174-pound Traynor felt part of the team as he was walking behind the players as they filed into the stadium.

“It felt like I was a part of something,” Traynor said. “As I walked in the fans were high-fiving me.”

Traynor’s itinerary included touring the facilities and having the opportunity to speak with tight ends coach Scott Booker and associate head coach/wide receivers coach Mike Denbrock. He said he had good coversations with both coaches.

“They’re good coaches based off watching the positions they coach,” Traynor said.

The three-star athlete described Notre Dame as one of the best he has been to so far.

Cincinnati and Morehead State have both offered the underrated athlete. Besides Notre Dame, Louisville and Kentucky are showing interest in the junior.

Traynor does it all on offense for his Doss team. According to MaxPreps in three games stats have been recorded for, Traynor has completed 10-of-23 passes for 79 yards as a passer, rushed 166 yards and two touchdowns as a rusher and caught two passes for 17 yards as a receiver.
