Nashville LB Hoping For Notre Dame Offer Following Visit
Notre Dame hosted a huge list of Rivals250 prospects in the class of 2019 Saturday for Junior Day, including four-star linebacker Jackson Hannah of Nashville Montgomery Bell Academy
Hannah, the No. 232 overall player in the class of 2019, said Notre Dame put on a show during the visit and caught his attention in a big way.
“It was great,” Hannah said of the visit. “I loved the campus and getting back up there for the second time. I had a great time and got closer to (defensive coordinator) Clark Lea.”
Hannah, the No. 6 inside linebacker in the class of 2019, said spending time with Lea was a great experience, and he could easily tell what Lea’s vision for the Irish defense is.
“What I took from him today is that he’s serious about building up this program and eventually getting Notre Dame’s defense the best in the country,” Hannah said. “He’s a great person too. He came from the same high school as me so it was cool getting to relate to him in that way.”
Now that Hannah has visited and met with Lea, he’s hopeful that the new Irish defensive coordinator will eventually pull the trigger on an offer for him.
“I’m hoping so, talked to Coach Lea for a long time today,” Hannah said. “It seems to me they’re finalizing a decision on me so I should know soon.”
If that offer does come, Hannah said Notre Dame would immediately become a contender to eventually land his signature.
“It would mean the world,” Hannah said. “I’m serious about Notre Dame, and looking forward to looking into the Irish even more.”
Hannah holds additional offers from Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, LSU, North Carolina, Oregon, Vanderbilt, Wisconsin and several others.
