• Tyler Eifert (2009-12), TE, Cincinnati Bengals: Out for the season after suffering a back injury.

• Anthony Fasano (2002-05), TE, Miami Dolphins: Did not catch a pass in Miami’s 20-17 win over the Atlanta Falcons.

• Michael Floyd (2008-11), WR, Minnesota Vikings: Caught one pass for five yards in a 23-10 win over the Green Bay Packers.

• Will Fuller (2013-15), WR, Houston Texans: Notched a team-high 62 receiving on two catches and a touchdown in a 33-17 win over the Cleveland Browns.

• J.J. Jansen (2004-07), LS, Carolina Panthers: Will once again handle all the team’s long snapping duties in 2017.

• TJ Jones (2010-13), WR, Detroit Lions: Recorded three catches for 33 yards in a 52-33 loss to the New Orleans Saints.

• DeShone Kizer (2014-16), QB, Cleveland Browns: Did not play in a 33-17 loss to the Houston Texans. Kizer is the expected starter in week seven.

• Ben Koyack (2011-14), TE, Jacksonville Jaguars: Made one catch for 21 yards in a 27-17 loss to the Los Angeles Rams.

• Nick Martin (2011-15), OL, Houston Texans: Played every offensive snap for the Texans in a 33-17 win over the Cleveland Browns.

• Zack Martin (2009-13), OL, Dallas Cowboys: Had a bye.

• Troy Niklas (2011-13), TE, Arizona Cardinals: Caught two passes for 20 yards and a touchdown in a 38-33 win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

• C.J. Prosise (2012-15), RB, Seattle Seahawks: Had a bye.

• Theo Riddick (2009-12), RB, Detroit Lions: Carried the ball two times for eight yards and caught five passes for 45 yards in a 52-33 loss to the New Orleans Saints.

• Kyle Rudolph (2008-10), TE, Minnesota Vikings: Recorded five catches for 47 yards in a 23-10 win over the Green Bay Packers.

• Ronnie Stanley (2012-15), OT, Baltimore Ravens: Started at left tackle in Baltimore’s 27-24 loss to the Chicago Bears.

• John Sullivan (2003-07), C, Los Angeles Rams: Started at center for the Rams in a 27-17 win over the Jacksonville Jaguars.

• Golden Tate (2007-09), WR, Detroit Lions: Reeled in team-high seven catches for 96 yards and a touchdown in a 52-33 loss to the New Orleans Saints.

• Sam Young (2006-09), OT, Miami Dolphins: Did not play in Miami’s 20-17 win over the Atlanta Falcons.

NFL DEFENSE

• Sheldon Day (2012-15), DL, Jacksonville Jaguars: Did not record a tackle in a 27-17 loss to the Los Angeles Rams.

• Matthias Farley (2011-15), DB, Indianapolis Colts: Registered seven total tackles in a 36-22 loss to the Tennessee Titans.

• Cole Luke (2013-16), CB, Carolina Panthers: Placed on injury reserve with an ankle injury to make room for an offensive line signing.

• Romeo Okwara (2012-15), DE, New York Giants: Did not play in a 23-10 win over the Denver Broncos. Has been placed on injured reserve dealing with a knee injury.

• James Onwualu (2013-16), LB, Los Angeles Chargers: Did not record a tackle in a 17-16 win over the Oakland Raiders.

• Isaac Rochell (2013-16), DT, Los Angeles Chargers: Rochell was waived last week by the Chargers to make room on the 53-man roster. He has signed with the team's practice squad.

• KeiVarae Russell (2012-15), CB, Cincinnati Bengals: Had a bye.

• Harrison Smith (2007-11), S, Minnesota Vikings: Registered five total tackles including 1.5 sacks in a 23-10 win over the Green Bay Packers.

• Jaylon Smith (2013-15), LB, Dallas Cowboys: Had a bye.

• Manti Te’o (2009-12), LB, New Orleans Saints: Had two tackles including one for loss in a 52-38 win over the Detroit Lions.

• Stephon Tuitt (2011-13), DE, Pittsburgh Steelers: Recorded two tackles and a pass deflection in a 19-13 win over the Kansas City Chiefs.

• Ishaq Williams (2011-14), DE, New York Giants: On season-ending injured reserve.

NBA UPDATES

• Pat Connaughton (2011-2015), G, Portland Trailblazers: Will be a reserve for the Blazers in 2017-2018. Could see an increased role early in tonight’s season opener against the Phoenix Suns with starting shooting guard C.J. McCollum out due to suspension.

• Jack Cooley (2009-2013), C, Sacramento Kings: Signed a two-way contract with the Kings this summer. Will bounce back-and-forth between Sacramento and their G-League affiliate.

• Jerian Grant (2011-2015), G, Chicago Bulls: Projected starter for Bulls to begin season while second-year guard Kris Dunn recovers from injury.

• Demetrius Jackson (2013-2016), G, Houston Rockets: Did not play in Rockets season opener against the Golden State Warriors. Signed a two-way contract with organization, so could bounce between the NBA and G-League.


NOTE: Former Irish forward V.J. Beachem was waived by the Los Angeles Lakers earlier this month and could be a candidate to land with another organization's G-League affiliate.
