Elite OT Nolan Rucci Releases Top Nine Schools, Notre Dame Included

Lititz (Pa.) Warwick offensive tackle Nolan Rucci narrowed down his long offer list to nine on Monday morning.

Making the cut for the 6-8, 287-pounder is Alabama, Clemson, LSU, Michigan, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Penn State, Stanford and Wisconsin.

This comes after Rucci announced last week that he would be taking several days off from the recruiting process to focus on school and family.

Rucci visited Notre Dame in January 2019 and earned an offer from the Fighting Irish during his time in South Bend. He planned to make a long awaited return trip to Notre Dame March 20-22, but that visit weekend was cancelled due to COVID-19.

Rucci is keeping in close contact with Notre Dame offensive line coach Jeff Quinn and head coach Brian Kelly, as well as, of course, Irish pledge Blake Fisher.

“Blake is a great recruiter, that’s for sure,” Rucci previously told BlueandGold.com. “He’s a very charismatic guy; I talk to him a lot. I’m looking forward to getting to know him more.”

There are currently eight FutureCast picks in for Rucci, and all for him to land at Penn State, which is where his father, Todd, played. Rucci’s older brother Hayden is a tight end at Wisconsin.

Three weeks ago, Rivals’ Adam Friedman wrote a story to rank the top contenders in Rucci’s recruitment, and Notre Dame was listed at No. 5.

Rivals ranks Rucci as the No. 2 recruit in the state of Pennsylvania, and the No. 6 offensive tackle and No. 34 overall prospect in the 2021 class.
