It doesn’t snow much in San Diego.

But you already knew that. So too does four-star San Diego St. Augustine cornerback Isaac Taylor-Stuart, the No. 7 cornerback in the class of 2018 according to Rivals.com.

Taylor-Stuart said the opportunity to see the winter weather has him contemplating a visit to South Bend.

“I just want to see snow,” Taylor-Stuart said. “I’ve never been in snow.”

Of course, that’s not all that has Taylor-Stuart’s eye drawn toward Notre Dame. When he was offered by the Irish, he said those around him immediately informed him of the opportunities Notre Dame presents.

“When I told my dad I got an offer from Notre Dame, he was like: ‘Boy, that’s a good education,’” Taylor-Stuart said. “It was a blessing. It was crazy to me. Everyone at my school, Notre Dame is kind of their dream school.”

Taylor-Stuart said he quickly came to learn where a Notre Dame diploma could take him in life.

“If you graduate from Notre Dame, you can basically get any type of job you want,” Taylor-Stuart said. “That’s the first thing that comes to mind.”

As the No. 7 cornerback and No. 56 overall player in the country, Taylor-Stuart has plenty of schools coming after him. The four-star mentioned Utah, Alabama, USC and Nebraska as the schools communicating with him the most currently.

Taylor-Stuart also mentioned that he was having regular contact with Notre Dame before the departure of offensive coordinator Mike Sanford.

It’s early in the process, and as of now Taylor-Stuart said the race to land his services is wide open.

“My interest in Notre Dame is sort of like my interest in all the other schools,” Taylor-Stuart said. “I haven’t taken a visit or anything, but I know it’s really good education-wise. The first thing that comes to my mind is education.”

Taylor-Stuart said he is considering taking a visit to South Bend this summer.
