Day makes 13

Notre Dame continued to build depth along the defensive line with its latest commitment as Indianapolis Warren Central defensive tackle Sheldon Day committed to the Irish on Wednesday, per Warren Central assistant coach Greg Brookey.
The four-star prospect is commitment No. 13 for Notre Dame and its second out of Indianapolis in this recruiting cycle, joining Cathedral safety John Turner.

Other programs to have offered Day include Arkansas, Cincinnati, Florida, Indiana, Iowa LSU, Michigan, Michigan State, Minnesota, Missouri, North Carolina, Northwestern, Penn State, Purdue, Stanford, Tennessee, Virginia Tech, Wake Forest and Wisconsin.
Day, a 6-foot-2, 286-pound prospect, has visited Notre Dame three times over the last few months, including a trip earlier in July.
He is the second defensive lineman Notre Dame has picked up in the Class of 2012, although North Carolina prospect Romeo Okwara most likely projects at outside linebacker in defensive coordinator Bob Diaco's 3-4 scheme.
