Notre Dame hosted a solid group of prospects on campus Thursday, including 2021 wide receiver Emeka Egbuka of Steilacoom (Wash.) High.
Egbuka, a top Irish target in the class of 2021, said his first trip to South Bend was a good one.
“It was a great day,” Egbuka said. “We got to tour everything, I saw all the facilities, met all the coaches and got to watch practice. It was really fun.”
The standout wide receiver said the morning at Notre Dame’s spring practice session was definitely a highlight of the trip.
“I liked the intensity of the practice,” Egbuka explained. “You could tell it’s a tight-knit community. All the players are close and they were all helping each other get better.”
Egbuka spent most of his time on the visit with head coach Brian Kelly and receivers coach DelVaughn Alexander, who talked to the young pass catcher about a lot of different aspects of life at Notre Dame.
“We talked about wide receiver stuff and Notre Dame stuff,” Egbuka said. “We talked about recruiting and life in general.”
After sitting down with Alexander, Egbuka said the message was clear.
