Notre Dame's 2024 recruiting class consists of 22 commits and expanded on Sunday night in the form of 2024 wide receiver prospect Xavier Southall.

Southall, an Irish legacy and son of former Notre Dame cornerback Cornelius Southall (1985-88), is expected to join the class as a preferred walk-on.

The Bradenton (Fla.) IMG Academy recruit chose the Irish over two scholarship offers from Alcorn State and Brown.

Southall visited campus on Saturday and watched the Irish improve to 4-0 with their 41-17 win over Central Michigan.

Inside ND Sports observed Southall entering Notre Dame Stadium accompanied by director of recruiting Chad Bowden. The 6-foot, 178-pound wide receiver spent most of his time with 2024 commits Aneyas Williams, Taberon Bennie-Powell and Loghan Thomas.

Before transferring to IMG Academy, Southall played at Alexandria (Va.) St. Stephen’s & St. Agnes. As a junior, he had 15 receptions for 283 yards and five touchdowns.

According to his Hudl profile, Southall also has experience playing cornerback and quarterback. He reports a 40-yard dash time of 4.52 seconds, and a shuttle time of 4.28. His vertical is 32 inches and he can bench press 225 pounds for 10 reps.
