2019 Georgia CB Lands Irish Offer
It has already been a busy morning for the Irish staff, which has extended two new offers to the current junior class. Per his Twitter, Notre Dame has offered Suwanee (Ga.) North Gwinnett 2019 cornerback Warren Burrell.
The 5-11, 165-pounder also holds early offers from Alabama, Kentucky, Michigan State, UNC, North Carolina State, Ohio State, Penn State, South Carolina, Virginia and Wake Forest, among others.
Hagerstown (Md.) St. James School three-star 2019 wide receiver John Metchie added Notre Dame to his offer list this morning as well.
Burrell ranks as the No. 40 player in the Peach State and the No. 39 cornerback in the 2019 class per Rivals. His Hudl page lists a 4.53 40-yard dash time, along with a 4.25 shuttle and 38-inch vertical.
According to MaxPreps, Burrell recorded 26 total tackles (one for loss), five interceptions, 11 passes defended and a fumble recovery this past season as a junior. He returned one of those interceptions for a touchdown.
North Gwinnett claimed the Class 7A state championship this past season.
