2019 DE JJ Weaver Loved His Sunday Visit To Notre Dame

Several of the nation’s best 2019 prospects visited Notre Dame Sunday for Sophomore Day — one of which was JJ Weaver, a defensive end from Louisville (Ky) Moore.

Weaver, who currently holds an offer from Louisville, said the trip could not have gone better.

“The visit went great,” Weaver said. “I loved the atmosphere and I really loved everything about Notre Dame.”

It was a packed afternoon in South Bend for Weaver and his fellow visitors.

The Kentucky talent said the group got to see everything Notre Dame has to offer and came away impressed.

“I talked to some of the players and some of the coaches,” Weaver said. “I also went to the classrooms and saw the new things they’re making in the stadium. I watched a practice and everything.”

Weaver said getting to attend a spring practice was the highlight of the trip.

“That was pretty cool,” he said. "I liked it.”

Weaver added that getting to see how players acted during practice was a cool thing for someone as young as him to see.

“The players and how respectful they are [were impressive],” Weaver said. “And how disciplined they are.”

Hopefully, Weaver said, and Irish offer will come sometime soon.

Should that happen, Weaver said Notre Dame would be right at the top of his list.

“That would be awesome,” Weaver said of the possibility of a Notre Dame offer. “I would love that. I just loved it. If they do offer, it’s going to be one of my top schools.”
