2018 LB Caleb Deveaux Hearing From Notre Dame, Hoping For An Offer
In just two days, the 2017 recruiting cycle will be over and done with.
But that doesn't mean the work will stop for the Irish coaching staff. Brian Kelly and company will get right to work on the class of 2018.
One player the staff is evaluating currently is Caleb Deveaux, a three-star linebacker out of Waxhaw (N.C.) Marvin Ridge. Deveaux said the staff recently reached out to him about a potential visit.
"I began communicating with Notre Dame through direct message and mail on a consistent basis," Deveaux said. "They said they would like to get me on campus soon."
The three-star said he's enjoyed getting to know the coaching staff so far.
There have been a few changes, but some changes for the better," Deveaux said. "The coaches I have been in touch with seem cool."
As for that visit, Deveaux said he plans on making it happen.
"I definitely plan to visit this year," Deveaux stated. "I want to see the campus and experience a game there. I've heard about touchdown Jesus and other features."
Currently, Deveaux's only offer is from Pittsburgh, but he is hoping that a Notre Dame offer may come down the road.
"It would be huge," Deveaux said. "I grew up watching them and for the most part they have been very competitive."
