Notre Dame just got its second commitment of the day.

Following suit of three-star WR Jafar Armstrong, two-star Charlotte (N.C.) South Mecklenburg kicker Jonathan Doerer announced on Twitter that he has flipped his pledge from Maryland to Notre Dame.

Doerer took an official visit to Notre Dame this weekend, and apparently was impressed enough to flip his commitment.

Doerer is the 18th commitment in the class, and lone kicker.

On Kohl’s kicking, Doerer is rated as a five-star place kicker and four-and-a-half star punter.

Kohl’s also ranked Doerer as the No. 11 kicker in the class of 2017 and the No. 49 punter.
