Jesse Grandy ATH
Michael Willingham RB
Jeremy Sharp WR
Antonio Spicer OL/DL

The Dollarway Cardinals have plenty of talent at the skill positions and a outstanding group of linemen working for them.

Coach Cortez Lee will bring in a new era and a new Spread passing system to Dollarway which could be a area of concern for the Cardinals, but the pure talent and ability of returning starters (7 on each side of the ball) could help straighten out the learning curve.

The team does have a great work ethic, and Coach Lee should prove to be a successful coach at Dollarway

Looking Back

After posting a 6-4 regular season record, Dollarway rolled past Valley View, Farmington, Pochahontas, and Central Arkansas Christian in the playoffs, and lost 42-26 to Nashville in the State Championship game.

Antonio Spicer is a 6-foot-2, 285 pounds Senior lineman with a 300 pound bench press. Spicer plays on both sides of the ball is has proved to be a force on the line for the Cardinals in previous seasons.

Season Prediction

The Dollarway Cardinals have a great football tradition and a great fan base which supports them.

Coach Cortez Lee replaces Coach George Shelton who moved across town to Watson Chapel, and has proven in the past that he is a more than capable coach.

ArkansasVarsity.com has Dollarway ranked #3 in the ArkansasVarsity.com Pre-Season Class 4A poll.

We feel that with the solid coaching, stamina of the players, and the tradition of Dollarway Cardinal Football will kick in this season, and could help propel the Cardinals deep into the playoffs in the 2008 season.
