St. Pius junior impresses at several camps

Despite being in the private school ranks, which are relatively weaker than their public counterparts in the state of Texas, Houston St. Pius X is a powerhouse on the field and in producing college prospects. The Panthers annually have several players sign with Division I programs.

One prospect in the class of 2011 that has already put his name on the recruiting map is cornerback Kolby Griffin. The 6-foot, 180-pound junior-to-be recorded five interceptions as a sophomore and schools have already taken notice.
