Bruins are on fire

When you're hot, you're hot and UCLA is definitely hot. On a very important recruiting weekend for the Bruins they continue to roll in the commitments. There are four known commitments with the possibility of more. BruinBlitz.com has confirmed another one.

Two months ago Irvine High lineman Nik Abele (6-6, 260, 4.9) from Irvine, Calif., figured he would commit to Colorado, but after a full-court press by UCLA, the big man pulled the trigger Saturday and committed to Bruins coach Rick Neuheisel.

Abele said the proximity of UCLA's campus to his home was a big factor.

"I felt like I fit in nicely here, and five years would good here," Abele said. "My mom likes it, my dad likes it. I went up to them and asked them both and they liked it, so I just committed.

Abele was a member of the Rivals.com California Preseason Top 100 team for the class of 2009 landing as the Golden State's No. 64 prospect at any position.
