Whitt visits Alabama's Mr. Football

Clint Moseley had a great senior season. In fact, no one was better.

The Leroy (Ala.) quarterback was named Alabama's Mr. Football after completing 209-of-315 passes for 3,749 yards and 35 touchdowns with just five interceptions. He also ran for 693 yards and 15 touchdowns.

The 6-foot-4, 200-pound Moseley saved his best for last, throwing for a Super Six record 276 yards and two touchdowns in a 41-8 win over Sulligent in the Class 2A state championship game.

"In my sports career, obviously, the championships are the top but (Mr. Football) is as close to a championship as it gets," Moseley said. "It's one of the greatest individual awards you can win. I dreamed of winning it as a kid but actually winning it is crazy."

Moseley's 8,413 career passing yards rank fifth in AHSAA history and his 79 touchdown passes rank seventh. He also finished his career on a 25-game winning streak with three straight state championships.

That type of production has certainly caught the eye of several schools including Auburn, which sent recruiter Joe Whitt to see Moseley
