Big visit this weekend for Jay to UGA
Georgia has turned up the heat on Rivals250 offensive tackle J.K. Jay. As soon as the Clemson commit opened things up the Dawgs offered him. Since the offer, UGA has recruited him hard with many hand-written letters, emails, and weekly phone calls. This weekend Jay will be visiting UGA for the first time and he will not be alone.
"I will be visiting Georgia on November 22 for an unofficial visit and my dad and my coach (Don Frost) will be coming down there with me," said Jay. "My mom has a wedding to go to, so she can't come, but I will bring my dad and coach. We all want to see what Georgia is like."
The 6-foot-7, 288 pound tackle out of Greenville (S.C.) Christ Church committed to Clemson since April of 2007, but he has had to re-evaluate everything since the coaching change. The Clemson Tigers will likely have a coach in place within the next month or so, but Jay wants to explore his options to make sure he makes the right decision.
"This visit to Georgia is very big for me and I am very excited about it. I know what Coach [Mark] Richt and the Georgia coaches are all about, so I want to sit down with them, talk with them face to face, and see what it is like."
"I want to see what it is like there, check out their depth chart, and just get a feel on campus."
