Auburn commit visits Bama, will return

Atlanta (Ga.) Douglass linebacker Jonathan Atchison, an Auburn commitment since August, hasn't completely closed the door on his recruitment. Not yet.

Atchison, 6-foot-3, 216 pounds, is still considering at least one other school. He took an unofficial visit there Saturday.

"I went to Alabama and watched them play Ole Miss," said Atchison. "I'm still committed to Auburn, but I wanted to go there and check out a game."

Atchison had been to Tuscaloosa before, but never for a game. His first experience, he said, was a good one.

"I got there and was greeted by the hostess. When I got there, everybody practically knew who I was," said Atchison. "The fans were greeting me, calling my name and telling me to come play for Alabama.

"Once I got into the stadium, we went to the locker room and met with some of the players, all of the coaches. They all knew who I was and greeted me. It went good."
